UI & UX Design Agency In Vietnam

UI & UX Design Agency In Vietnam

Potado is a leading user interface and user experience design agency that designs apps for iPhone, Android, web, and smart devices such as wearables and IoT. We work with the biggest companies in Vietnam as well as the coolest Vietnamese startups! Our global team is made of of UI artists, UX specialists, marketing cowboys, graphic designers, product builders, as well as software developers and engineers.

We don't simply design user interfaces, we build partnerships by working with our clients to design beautiful products that is easy to use and keeps users coming back for more. Because of that we only work with clients we believe in, so if you want an agency that just designs any interface without providing any input, you are in the wrong place. When we work with our clients we allow them to be as involved as they want and we offer suggestions based on our experience in the field. We've seen what works, so we will help you do what's best for your business.

Mobile App UX Design In Vietnam

One of the first things you need to decide when design a mobile app interface is which platforms you will target. Nowadays we have a few platforms namely Android, iPhone, and web and each of these require a different app to be developed. So for you will need an android app designer, iPhone app designer and web designer to sketch out designs for your product. There are very important differences between Android, iOS and web design and it is important to keep consistent with the operating systems styles to keep the app user friendly.

Although Android is the most popular operating system in Vietnam, Apple still owns a large percentage of the OS market share so it's important for app developers to treat both operating systems equally if they want to succeed. A common mistake designers in Vietnam make is by giving iOS apps an Android like interface. This might not look too bad, but it is confusing to iOS users and should be avoided at all cost. Android should keep its Material Design principles while Apple should keep it's flat design principles. Of course branding, theme colors and the layout should be mostly similar, but there are important differences and any good UI/UX designer should know that.

Web UX Design In Vietnam

Designing a website is slightly more simple than a mobile app because of how platform agnostic it is. With a web interface you don't need to worry about platform specific design principles. But that doesn't mean that there aren't any challenges if you want to create a seamless user experience. The biggest challenge design wise, would be to optimize the web interface for multiple screen sizes. That includes, mobile, tablet and desktop. Web developers can then develop the website so that the design changes once a user signs on from a different platform.

Now websites are more of a canvas that mobile because there is no standard. There is either the simple, clean and minimalist approach which is probably the most popular UX design style in Vietnam. But some companies like really creative design with lots of animations. Now that isn't always a good idea as it can actually slow down the site, and slow sites equal a bad user experience. You want to add just the right amount of animations and interactivity to make the website look and feel really great but not slow it down.

Our UI & UX Design Process

To design beautiful interfaces, you need a world class process. Good planning and even better communication sets a solid foundation in any project. We know the technical details, we know design, we know how people use apps, and most importantly we know how to talk about these things in a clear and non technical way that you can easily understand even technology isn't your thing. We break up every project into a set of proven steps from planning to launch:

Planning

Once we begin the project we will start the discovery and planning stage. This is when our team will work with you to come up with a design blueprint for your project. We will work with you to get a full picture understanding of the ideas you have and then offer some suggestions.

Research

Once we know about the project we will start the research. This means looking at things like what competitors and leaders in the niche are doing and making sure that we can do something in line with that but with slight improvements.

Wireframing

A wireframe is a rough sketch that illustrates the user experience and screens of the app. Color and design elements are not used yet and the focus of this is to plan features and functionality. During this step we will work closely with you to ensure we see eye to eye with your vision.

UX/UI Design

Using the wireframes, our design team will start to add some color. We use tools such as Figma, Adobe XD or Sketch to draw us beautiful app designers. We believe in simple and intuitive interfaces and always keep up to date with the latest and greatest design trends.

Analyze

Now we will present the designs to you internal groups first then to you. As we present it we will see how people interact with it and then take notes on anything that might be confusing or not attractive and improve it.

Launch

Once the designs and have been approved we are ready to launch! We will then send over the design files, including all the assets used, as well as in formats such as PDF so you can easily share or print them. Once you are ready you will then be able to work with a developer to bring the designs to life!

The interface was really modern and well designed."
